STEEL TOE CREATIVE FAQ
Straight Answers.
No Agency Speak.
Before you invest in marketing, you should know what is included, what is not, who owns the work, and what results are realistic. Pick a category and get the honest version.
01
Website Design + Build
Planning, content, timelines, ownership, hosting, and what a new site can realistically do.
- What is included in Website Design + Build?
The standard build includes a conversion-focused website structure, mobile-responsive design, core service pages, clear calls to action, foundational on-page SEO, contact pathways, and launch support. The exact page count, integrations, copy, and special functionality are confirmed in your proposal.
- How long does a website project take?
Most focused service-business websites take several weeks from kickoff to launch. The schedule depends on page count, content readiness, integrations, feedback speed, and whether branding or photography must be completed first. We establish milestones before the build begins.
- Do you write the website copy and provide images?
We structure the message and can include copy development when it is part of the agreed scope. We can work with your existing project photos and brand assets, recommend a shot list, or coordinate additional content needs. Stock photography and professional photo or video production are scoped separately when needed.
- Are domain registration, hosting, and ongoing maintenance included?
Domain, hosting, premium software, and ongoing maintenance are identified separately unless your proposal says otherwise. We will explain what is required, who owns each account, and any recurring costs before launch so there are no surprise subscriptions.
- Can you rebuild our existing website without losing everything?
Yes. We first review the current site, analytics, search visibility, useful content, and conversion paths. Strong assets can be retained or improved while outdated structure and messaging are replaced. Redirect needs are mapped when URLs change
- Will a new website guarantee more leads?
No ethical agency can guarantee a specific number of leads from a website alone. The goal is to create a faster, clearer, more credible sales tool that converts a higher share of the right visitors. Traffic quality, market demand, reviews, follow-up, advertising, and local visibility also affect results.
- Can we update the website after it launches?
Yes. The site is built so routine content can be managed without starting over. We provide the access and agreed handoff support, and ongoing updates or growth work can be handled through a separate support arrangement if your team prefers not to manage them.
02
Brand Identity
Logo direction, revisions, ownership, practical files, and the difference between a brand system and production work.
- What is included in the Brand Identity package?
The standard package includes the core visual identity your company needs to look consistent and recognizable: primary logo direction, supporting logo variations, color palette, typography, and practical brand guidelines. Final scope is confirmed before work begins so you know exactly which applications and files are included.
- How long does a brand identity project take?
Most focused brand identity projects take several weeks from kickoff through final files. Timing depends on how quickly feedback is provided, the number of decision-makers involved, and whether additional applications such as vehicle graphics, uniforms, or signage are added.
- Can you improve our existing logo instead of replacing it?
Yes. If your current logo already has recognition and useful equity, we can evaluate whether it should be refined, simplified, or supported with a stronger system. We will recommend a full replacement only when the existing identity is actively limiting clarity, credibility, or real-world use.
- How many revisions are included?
The approved scope includes defined review and refinement rounds. We present strategic directions, gather consolidated feedback, and refine the selected route. Additional directions or changes outside the agreed scope can be added with approval before extra work begins.
- Will we own the final logo and receive usable files?
Yes. After final payment, you receive the approved production files and the rights defined in your agreement. We provide practical formats for web, print, vendors, apparel, signage, and other approved applications so your team is not left with one unusable file.
- Does this include a website, truck wrap, or printed materials?
Brand Identity establishes the visual system. Website development, vehicle-wrap production, printing, media buying, and other applications are separate unless they are specifically included in your proposal. Those pieces can be added individually or coordinated through The Full Build.
03
Google Business Profile
Ownership, optimization, reviews, timing, rankings, suspensions, and ongoing management.
- What is included in Google Business Profile optimization?
We review and improve the profile information customers rely on: business details, primary and secondary categories, services, service areas, description, photos, links, conversion paths, and other eligible features. We also check consistency with your website and broader local-search presence.
- Will we keep ownership of our Google Business Profile?
Yes. Your company should remain the owner of its profile and related accounts. We work through properly granted access and do not hold your listing hostage. Access roles and account ownership are confirmed before changes begin.
- How quickly will changes appear?
Many Google Business Profile edits appear quickly, while others require Google review and may take longer. Major changes can also trigger additional verification. We carefully sequence your updates and keep you informed whenever Google’s review process rather than Steel Toe Creative controls the timeline.
- Can you guarantee a top-three Google Maps ranking?
No. Rankings vary based on the searcher’s location, competition, relevance, prominence, website strength, reviews, and Google’s ranking systems. We strengthen the factors within our control and build a solid local-search foundation, but no reputable provider can guarantee a specific or permanent position on Google Maps.
- Do you help with reviews?
We can improve the process for requesting, monitoring, and responding to genuine customer reviews. We do not buy reviews, create fake reviews, or recommend incentives that violate platform rules. The strongest review strategy is consistent, authentic, and easy for real customers to use.
- Does this include suspended-profile reinstatement?
Routine optimization and suspension or verification recovery are different scopes. If the profile is suspended, duplicated, or blocked by an ownership dispute, we will assess the situation first and explain whether recovery work can be added. Google makes the final reinstatement decision.
- Is ongoing profile management required?
A strong setup creates the foundation, but the profile should stay current as services, hours, photos, offers, and customer questions change. Your team can manage it after handoff, or ongoing monitoring and updates can be scoped separately.
The Part Agencies Sometimes Avoid
04
Lead Generator System
Forms, calls, CRM connections, advertising costs, automation, setup, and ongoing campaign work.
- What is included in the Lead Generator System?
The system connects the key steps between interest and a real sales conversation: focused offer and landing experience, clear response paths, lead capture, agreed tracking, and practical follow-up workflow. The exact channels, automations, integrations, and assets are confirmed before implementation.
- Can it work with our existing CRM and phone system?
Often, yes. We review your current CRM, forms, email, text, scheduling, call handling, and reporting before recommending changes. If an existing tool is reliable, we prefer connecting it instead of forcing unnecessary software. Integration limits and third-party costs are identified up front.
- Are advertising costs included?
Media spend, third-party software, phone services, CRM subscriptions, and premium integrations are separate unless your proposal specifically includes them. We distinguish one-time build costs from recurring platform or campaign costs before launch.
- How long does setup take?
A focused system can usually be planned, built, connected, and tested over several weeks. Timing depends on the offer, required pages, account access, integrations, approval speed, and whether the website or brand foundation needs attention first.
- Does the system guarantee a certain number of leads?
No. Lead volume and quality depend on demand, competition, offer strength, traffic, budget, reputation, seasonality, and sales follow-up. We build a measurable path designed to reduce missed opportunities and improve conversion, then use real performance data to guide refinements.
- What happens after someone submits a form or calls?
The agreed workflow routes the inquiry to the right person and can trigger confirmation, reminders, or follow-up steps. Your team still needs to respond quickly, qualify the opportunity, and sell the work. Automation supports a good sales process; it does not replace one.
- Is ongoing management included?
Initial setup, testing, and handoff are included according to the approved scope. Campaign management, continuous optimization, new creative, reporting, and software administration can be added as ongoing services if needed.
05
The Full Build
How the four systems work together, project timing, existing assets, third-party costs, and what happens after launch.
- What are the four core systems in The Full Build?
The Full Build coordinates Brand Identity, Website Design + Build, Google Business Profile, and the Lead Generator System under one roadmap. The purpose is to make the pieces support one another, from first impression and local discovery to lead capture and follow-up.
- How long does The Full Build take?
A complete build typically unfolds over multiple phases and takes longer than a single service. Final timing depends on brand readiness, page count, content and photography, account access, integrations, feedback speed, and launch requirements. You receive a milestone based roadmap before work begins.
- Can we purchase only one of the four systems?
Yes. Each core system is available separately when that is the right next move. We will recommend The Full Build when disconnected branding, website, visibility, and follow-up issues need to be solved together, not simply because it is the larger package.
- Can you use our existing logo, website content, or software?
Yes, when those assets are strong enough to support the new system. We audit what you already have and retain useful brand equity, content, data, accounts, and tools. Anything that should be replaced will be explained before it is removed or rebuilt.
- Are hosting, ad spend, software, photography, and printing included?
Third-party and production costs are separate unless your proposal specifically includes them. This may include hosting, domains, media spend, CRM or automation subscriptions, premium software, photography, video, printing, signage, or vehicle-wrap production. Recurring costs are identified before approval.
- How soon should we expect more leads?
The build creates a stronger foundation for being found, earning trust, capturing inquiries, and following up. Results do not begin on one universal schedule and no specific lead volume is guaranteed. Market demand, traffic, reviews, competition, budget, seasonality, and sales execution all influence performance.
- What happens after everything launches?
We test the agreed conversion paths, confirm access and ownership, and complete the handoff included in your scope. Your team can operate the systems, or ongoing support, campaigns, reporting, content, and optimization can be added through a separate engagement.
